Financial Reporting Accountant - Up to £60k
Due to an internal promotion a £½ Billion turnover FMCG business have a need for a Financial Reporting Manager to join their group finance function.
This role would suit someone recently out of practice or someone looking for their first role in industry who wants to progress their career.
Duties:
- Ownership and management of the group's monthly consolidation process.
- Ownership of the group's monthly management accounts and associated reporting processes.
- Manage the group wide statutory audit including dealing with technical accounting issues and production of statutory financial statements
- Monitor and report on banking covenants in accordance with banking agreements.
- Manage the corporation tax process alongside the Group Finance Director. This involves ensuring accurate data is collated from divisions, working with advisors on completing tax computations and helping to ensure a robust tax control environment is maintained.
- Work alongside other members of the group finance function to maintain a fit for purpose centralised treasury function.
- Work alongside the Financial Planning Manager to develop and enhance the financial control programme.
- While the focus of the role will be on financial reporting, being part of a small team means there will be a necessity to be involved in other financial projects.
Experience required:
- Qualified accountant.
- Previous experience of financial consolidations.
- Technically strong with experience of producing statutory financial statements.
- Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and challenge data.
- Understanding of cashflow and working capital.
